Say Jess Color Analysis
Say Jess to your colors
Jess Coppedge, Colorado Springs Color Analyst
Hi, I’m Jess, and I’m here to help you find your best colors—right here in colorful Colorado Springs. Say Jess Color Analysis sessions are done in person, using a hands-on draping process that takes about an hour. Together, we explore a full 12-season system to pinpoint the colors that naturally enhance your features.
As I drape you in different colors, you’ll see the shifts in brightness, harmony, and balance—no guessing, no filters, just your real coloring reacting in real time. By the end of the session, you’ll walk away knowing 6-8 of your “wow colors”: the shades that make you look instantly brighter, more vibrant, and effortlessly put together.
Within a week of your appointment, you’ll receive a personalized email follow-up which includes:
A curated set of recommended resources tailored to your exact season
A collage of photos of you in your best drapes, so you can easily reference a handful of your winning colors when shopping or getting dressed

FAQS
What is color analysis? Color analysis is a process of identifying an individual's most flattering color palette based on their natural features, such as skin tone, eye color, and hair color. The goal is to determine which colors will be the most harmonious with a person's appearance, helping them make informed decisions about their wardrobe, makeup, and other personal style choices.
Are you certified? I’m not formally certified, but I’ve completed extensive independent study across multiple reputable color-analysis resources and methodologies. My approach is rooted in research, practice, and a real passion for helping clients understand what colors make them look and feel their best. I take the work seriously, continually refine my process, and deliver thoughtful, personalized results—with the same care and attention you’d expect from a certified analyst.
How long is a color analysis session? A session takes 60-75 minutes, during which we’ll explore a variety of colors to find what’s most harmonious for you!
Can I do this with a group of friends? To give each person the time and attention they deserve in a color analysis session, the most I can drape in one session is two people. A two-person session is 2.5 hours. I occasionally can make exceptions for families to drape three people in one session.
What if I color my hair? No problem at all! Since color analysis is based on your natural coloring, we’ll need to pull back or cover your hair during the session to ensure the most accurate results.
What if my hair is gray or starting to gray? Wonderful! Your shade of gray is a natural part of your coloring and will harmonize beautifully with your features.
What if I naturally tan? I recommend getting your color analysis done when you have as little of a natural tan as possible.
What if I wear self-tanner? Sorry, we won’t be able to analyze you with any amount of self-tanner on your face! Even the smallest bit of self-tanner can alter your skin tone and lead to inaccurate results.
What if I wear glasses? To get the most accurate results, we’ll need you to remove your glasses during your session, as frames and lenses can distort how colors appear against your face. If you wear contact lenses, please use them for your appointment. If not, we’ll simply do the session glasses-free—and I promise I’ll guide you every step of the way so you can trust the process!
Can I wear at least a little bit of makeup during my analysis? Sorry, no! We need to see how the drapes reflect off of your skin without any makeup or sunscreen. Moisturizer is fine as long as it is not tinted.
Do you offer color swatch books? Not at this time, but I will provide a list of recommended sellers in your follow-up email!
Can you do color analysis for children? I recommend waiting until after puberty for a full color analysis. By age 15, skin tone, hair color, and eye characteristics have typically stabilized enough to give accurate, lasting results. But, I truly believe color analysis is a powerful tool at every age, and I am happy to offer an abbreviated session for younger children!
