Say Jess Color Analysis
Say Jess to your colors
Jess Coppedge, Colorado Springs Color Analyst
Hi, I’m Jess, and I’m here to help you find your best colors—right here in colorful Colorado Springs. Say Jess Color Analysis sessions are done in person, using a hands-on draping process that takes about an hour. Together, we explore a full 12-season system to pinpoint the colors that naturally enhance your features.
As I drape you in different colors, you’ll see the shifts in brightness, harmony, and balance—no guessing, no filters, just your real coloring reacting in real time. By the end of the session, you’ll walk away knowing 6-8 of your “wow colors”: the shades that make you look instantly brighter, more vibrant, and effortlessly put together.

Color Analysis Parties
Color analysis is a total "lightbulb" moment, and it’s even better when shared. While a deep-dive individual draping is a 75-minute journey into your personal palette, I love bringing that same magic to groups! Whether it’s a girl’s night, bridal brunch, or family get-together, I offer Color Analysis Party Packages to help you and your favorite people find your glow together.
About Jess
Knowing my best colors has been a total game-changer—especially as a toddler mom. Sometimes all I have is 5 minutes to get ready, and wearing the right colors instantly makes me look more rested, polished, and put together.
Color analysis has helped me simplify getting dressed, shop smarter, and feel good in my own skin—even on the days when life feels a little chaotic. And that’s why I love helping others experience the same ease and confidence.
FAQS
-
Color analysis is a process of identifying an individual's most flattering color palette based on their natural features, such as skin tone, eye color, and hair color. The goal is to determine which colors will be the most harmonious with a person's appearance, helping them make informed decisions about their wardrobe, makeup, and other personal style choices.
-
My rate is $125 per person. I believe that discovering your best colors is the ultimate confidence-booster—and it shouldn’t be out of reach. While comprehensive color analysis often commands a premium price tag of $300 or more, my mission is to provide professional, high-impact results at a price that fits your lifestyle.
-
I accept Venmo, cash, or check!
-
Absolutely! I offer gift certificates that you can print out to give to your loved one. Please reach out and we can get a gift certificate all set up!
-
I’m not formally certified, but I’ve completed extensive independent study across multiple reputable color-analysis resources and methodologies. My approach is rooted in research, practice, and a real passion for helping clients understand what colors make them look and feel their best. I take the work seriously, continually refine my process, and deliver thoughtful, personalized results—with the same care and attention you’d expect from a certified analyst.
-
Not at this time, but I do provide a list of recommended swatch books and sellers in your follow-up email!
-
A session takes 60-75 minutes per person, during which we’ll explore a variety of colors to find what’s most harmonious for you!
Sessions take place in the morning, as that provides the best natural lighting needed.
-
Accuracy is my top priority! Sessions are held in a private in-home setting specifically chosen for its excellent natural lighting. This provides a quiet, comfortable environment where we can clearly see how different drapes interact with your skin.
If you prefer to stay put, I also offer travel sessions to local clients (within 10 miles). We just need to ensure your home has a space with plenty of bright, indirect natural light for us to work in! Additional fees may apply.
-
Yes! My Color Analysis Parties are perfect for social clubs, bridal showers, and larger groups. Learn more!
-
No problem at all! Since color analysis is based on your natural coloring, we’ll need to pull back or cover your hair during the session to ensure the most accurate results.
-
Wonderful! Your shade of gray is a natural part of your coloring and will harmonize beautifully with your features.
-
I recommend getting your color analysis done when you have as little of a natural tan as possible.
Additionally, please do not use any fake tanner on your face before your color analysis session.
-
Sorry, we won’t be able to analyze you with any amount of self-tanner on your face! Even the smallest bit of self-tanner can alter your skin tone and lead to inaccurate results.
-
To get the most accurate results, we’ll need you to remove your glasses during your session, as frames and lenses can distort how colors appear against your face. If you wear contact lenses, please use them for your appointment. If not, we’ll simply do the session glasses-free—and I promise I’ll guide you every step of the way so you can trust the process!
-
Sorry, no! We need to see how the drapes reflect off of your skin without any makeup or sunscreen. This includes mascara. Moisturizer is fine as long as it is not tinted.
-
I recommend waiting until after puberty for a full color analysis. By age 15, skin tone, hair color, and eye characteristics have typically stabilized enough to give accurate, lasting results. But, I truly believe color analysis is a powerful tool at every age, and I am happy to offer an abbreviated session for younger children! Please reach out to Jess for a quote!
